Workshops:                 Light and Color Outdoor

                                 March 4, 5 & 6, 2019

This 3-day workshop will be held at my studio and is limited to 6 participants.  It is scheduled during the  cooler days of autumn when the colors are warm and air is crisp.  We will do studies/paintings indoor and outdoor.  We wll also take what we have learned about painting from life outside and bring that knowledge inside to our indoor studio paintings.

Learn to paint in a fresh and simplified style. 

 

Each day will begin with a demonstration and quick lecture followed by students painting the remainder of the day.  The class will be kept small with ample time for individualized instruction at the easel.   You will receive a supply list after you register.  You will be using a limited palette and you may already own all the colors you will need.  The workshop will emphasize simplifying shapes and accurate color/value mixing.

The workshop is designed to encourage artists at all levels to attain greater mastery of their painting skills.  Fran will review the basics of solid design and composition, color, values, edges and paint application.
